As the fastest growing age group in the USA, the expanding senior population of 65 years of age and over has rapidly increased demand for personal care in an unprecedented fashion. Anchored in Christian values and beliefs, our agency was established with the determination to provide the best home health care for the senior population in the Washington DC area.
Our mission is to provide holistic care in the form of reliable, professional, and spiritual services for each individual client, and in doing so assist in promoting community wellness and happiness. Our company focuses on service providing optimal care with your personal mental, physical, and spiritual wellness at the forefront of our minds.
We at Long live health care believe we can enhance the quality of life of every individual we have the privilege of serving.
As we visit and provide service to each customer, our thoughts turn to our own parents. If my patient was my mother or father, how would I care for them? Our idea of a people-centered service begins with thoughts of looking after our own family. Washington senior homecare will provide the best service through keeping open a constant line of communication based on feedback from the patient and the family. We strive to build a line of trust with our clients and for a promise to provide respectful, on-time care.

Long live health care
Long live health care provides services to the elderly, disabled, and other individuals that require in-home care or help with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs). We aim to make it possible for people to remain living at home rather than being relocated into a long-term care program.
You are eligible to receive homecare if you;
Home health is designed to help you recover in the comfort of your home through rehabilitation and skilled nursing services. Home health must be ordered by your physician when he or she determines your condition requires you to remain in the home for rehab and recovery.
The difference between home health and personal home care assistance is the necessity for skilled services. Home health care requires skilled services that would come from a physician’s order. This includes things like registered nurses, physical therapy and occupational therapy.
Personal care assistance involves unskilled services that are typically paid for through private pay (not paid by insurance). These services include help around the house, transportation, bathing and some light meal preparation.
On the first visit, a nurse or therapist will conduct an initial assessment. At Long live health care, this thorough interview and professional assessment is part of our coordinated approach to managing your overall health status. Our assessment focuses on identifying areas where you may benefit from education in self-care management and partners with your doctor to promote disease prevention, in addition, to providing hands-on intervention ? which includes the family or caregivers.
Your state’s Medicaid program or your private insurance may cover home health care. Check with your state Medicaid program or insurance company to learn about their specific eligibility requirements.
Our staff is happy to help determine whether you meet coverage criteria. To learn more, contact us.
Home health is covered 100% by Medicare, and we accept most forms of insurance. Part of the admission process includes verification of insurance. We can help answer your financial and insurance questions.
In some areas of the country, we do provide personal home care assistance. These services include help:
Transportation, especially to medical appointments and procedures, is a popular home care service. It can often be arranged in a few hours, but the more notice given is always better. A regular planned schedule can be set up, or the caregiver can be used on an “as needed” basis.
Yes, we do. We first arrange a meeting with the family to conduct a thorough assessment and develop a plan of care. This is not only to fully understand what activities or senior care services are needed, but also to get a sense of what kind of personality might best suit him or her. After this is completed, we will match the person with a caregiver. If at any time you would like to change your caregiver, this can easily be arranged.
Our agency uses a phone-in time card system that alerts the scheduling supervisor if someone does not check in at the appointed time for any unforeseen reason, so that a supervisor can immediately come by to care for a client until the caregiver arrives or a replacement is arranged. This also guarantees that clients are accurately billed for the actual hours worked. It is one of the major advantages of working with an agency, the assurance and peace-of-mind that back-up staffing is an integral part of the service, especially for frail seniors.

With the growing demand for PCA-Personal Care Aide, we welcome all who are interested in becoming a PCA to join our personal care team. As an approved agency by the State of Virginia, we provide professional education through 40-hour PCA training with qualified Nursing Instructors. After you complete the training and pass the written exam, you will be qualified to receive certification. Once you receive the certification, we can assign cases depending on your availability and particular location.
Personal Care Aides help individuals who require assistance in their daily activities. Those activities include changing positions, bathing, dressing, walking, providing low-salt and low-fat diets, managing a schedule for medication, light housekeeping, and portable/fixed toilet management.
